Welcome to the KTF
Welcome the Kansas Turfgrass Foundation.
The Kansas Turfgrass Foundation is affiliated with, and works in cooperation with, the Kansas State University turfgrass program. The primary objectives are to support turfgrass research and education for the benefit of the turfgrass industry in Kansas. It is a nonprofit organization and the fees are used to finance turfgrass research projects, educational conferences and field days and for expenses of the organization.
We wish to promote research and to disseminate information for the promotion of better turfgrasses and landscapes for golf courses, parks, cemeteries, airports, public and private schools, college and universities, institutions, private businesses and individuals. The KTF cooperates with federal, state, and other interested agencies in working for the betterment of turf and landscapes for people everywhere.

2020 Kansas Turfgrass Field Day Canceled
The 2020 Kansas Turfgrass Field Day scheduled for Thursday, August 6 in Manhattan is canceled due to the complications arising from COVID-19.
The K-State campus is not allowing face-to-face contact through July 31. In addition, although turf research is continuing at Rocky Ford, the Olathe Horticulture Center, and the Pair Center, all centers are closed to the public and researchers must minimize their time at the facilities. We do plan to post written and video research updates through the remainder of the year on the Turf and Landscape Blog, accessible through our website, ksu.edu/turf. Next year's Kansas Turfgrass Field Day will be at the Rocky Ford Turfgrass Research Center in Manhattan on August 5, 2021. We are looking forward to seeing you at the 70th Kansas Turfgrass Conference, December 8, 9, and 10, 2020 in Topeka, KS.

Virtual Kansas Turfgrass and Landscape Conference Planning Underway
For the first time in history, the Kansas Turfgrass Foundation, in conjunction with the Kansas Nursery and Landscape Association, is in the planning stages of hosting a virtual conference. Who would have thought that our 70th conference would be held in this manner! The conference will be held the week of December 7th and online sessions will be available over several days that week, with some in the morning and some in the after-noon. Pesticide recertification credit will be offered, and K-State is working with the Kansas Department of Agriculture on details regarding how that will be done with online sessions. Online attendance will not only benefit those in the turf and landscape industry, but also continue to help support K-State turf research and education. Details will be provided soon.
